Welcome to our pristine land where the game of golf can be enjoyed by all skill levels. Enter our natural Environment of gently rolling terrain, thick woodlands, peaceful wildlife, all linked together by our chain of beautiful lagoons. The Golden Bear Golf Club, a Nicklaus design, is an 18 hole par 72, semi-private championship golf facility that was acclaimed “One of the Best Places to Play” by Golf Digest and “Best Course under $100 in South Carolina” by Travel and Leisure Magazine.

The Golden Bear Golf Club is conveniently located on the north end of Hilton Head Island. Our main entrance is located on Business Highway 278, 3 1/2 miles south of the Hilton Head Island Bridge in Indigo Run. We offer a relaxing lunch in our “Just Jack’s Grille” 7 days a week. A fully stocked, PGA staffed pro shop and an expansive practice range, putting green and short-game practice area complete our facility.

There are five sets of tees that play to distances and slopes measuring 7014 yards/132 slope, 6643 yards/128 slope, 6184 yards/122 slope, 5259 yards/115 slope for men and 124 for women, and 4974 yards with a 115 slope for ladies playing from the forward tees. The fairways here generally provide wide landing zones, and there also is plentiful recovery room greenside, if one can avoid the sand traps and gentle mounds that surround the outing surfaces.
