This 6 bedroom, 4.5 bath, 3rd row South Forest Beach home, (which can be rented as a 5 or 4 bedroom during the off season) with heatable pool* & spa*, is a great vacation home, for it offers the perfect welcoming, relaxing family oriented ambiance that you would hope for in a vacation at the beach. The wide pine wood floors throughout the first level and matching large dining and breakfast table and benches help produce the atmosphere for the creation of warm and lasting memories of your vacation on Hilton Head Island.
The great room is airy and large, for along one long wall are multiple windows and sliders looking out to the large screened in porch and beyond, palms and moss draped oaks. The sky lighted kitchen is spacious and welcoming with white appliances and tiled counter tops and island breakfast bar. Beyond the kitchen area, and the great, long pine table and benches, is the living room which offers large comfortable overstuffed matching furnishings including sofa, love seat, chair and ottoman. Along one wall is a decorative fireplace and in the corner a country armoire with a flat screen TV, DVD and VCR. Before leaving the great room, a step out onto the large screened balcony is compelling for in addition to the delightful table & chairs are four various rocking chairs and a 2 person porch swing. Again, just an ideal ambiance for rebonding friendships. The screened porch looks out over the pool & spa.
The first of six bedrooms and the first master bedroom is situated toward the entrance. Here you will find a mission sleigh king bed with matching chest of drawers and end table. Additionally, there is a wall mounted TV, overstuffed chairs, and sliding glass doors opening out to the front porch. The large master bath offers a spa tub, dual sinks and shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed decorated in a tropical theme and a two chests of drawers, one offering a TV. Sliding glass doors open out onto the front porch with two rocking chairs. The third bedroom has two twin beds, matching chest with TV. Both these bedrooms share a bath, each with their own private entrance. The bath includes a combination shower and tub. Completing this floor is a half bath and laundry area.
Up the stairs to the second floor is the second large master bedroom with a king bed, matching chest of drawers and end tables and a TV/VCR combination. The master bath has a combination shower and tub. The fifth bedroom may become the girls or the boy's dorm room for here you will find two queen beds, chest and end table and a TV. Here too is a private bath with a combination shower and tub.
Now down to the ground floor is a most unusual and inviting teenage or older kids retreat. Here you will find a large 2nd family area with a big overstuffed sofa, love seat, chair and ottoman as well as a TV with DVD and VCR. Here you will also find an array of games, but most unusual is a ping-pong table in an adjacent area perfect for the kids along with a game table and four chairs. Adjacent to the ping-pong area is the sixth bedroom, which offers a queen bed with a twin bed. Up, at the top of the stairs, a half bath might best be suited to servicing the guests of the unique 6th bedroom retreat.
Outside, is the heatable pool* and spa*, a table, chairs, lounge chairs and gas grill. Also offered is a long covered patio area along the pool offering respite from the sun and, like the balcony above, has a series of overhead fans.
The fantastic beach and ocean is just a few steps past two private homes along a private walk way for residents and guests. The famous Coligny Plaza, with its many shops and restaurants is just a bike ride away up South Forest Beach road.
*The pool and spa can only be heated together and is at an additional charge, with two weeks advance notice.
